A mentally challenged man living with his parents in Qiqihar, Heilongjiang province, mistook his own father for a burglar and chopped him with an axe before throwing his body out of the window last week.
During interrogation, the man said he woke up on Thursday night and saw "the burglar" rummaging through the house, when he picked up an axe, went behind the intruder and chopped him down.
Police saide the accused still does not know that he killed his father.
